The Void

The void can be a period within one’s life that helps them transition from an old identity into a new one but I believe the void can also present itself as smaller moments within a persons day.  A profound space of emptiness or stillness that has the ability to transform your life, if you are bold enough to sit in it, without filling this space with noise and distractions to actively avoid the uncomfortable truths that can show up during these times.

A time within your life and/or a feeling inside one’s self that allows you to feel what you have been suppressing and shoving down inside yourself.  Or a space to allow you to confront those thoughts that you have been shirking and loudly ignoring, perhaps your whole life.

Many will demonise the void.  Many find the emptiness, the vastness and the space to be so horrifying so they will fill their whole lives tv, social media, people, work, alcohol etc just so they don’t have to confront one tiny moment of emptiness.  It is obviously much easier to live within your comfort zone but are you truly living? Or are you just numbing? The void is where true transformation and evolution blossoms.

Where one can look honestly and fully into the face of their true emotions and thoughts and feel these fully.  Most times the things we avoid are the things that cause the most negativity and hurt in our lives.  It is no coincidence that the thoughts and feeling that come up within the void are also the things that will transform your life in a profoundly positive way.

How are you ever going to change a habit or better yourself if you cannot look at the things that trigger your worst traits, patterns and behaviours.

You actively avoid these thoughts and emotions for a reason.  These things can be deeply painful to look at, to face, but on the other side of this bravery is peace, contentment and a lightness to your spirit.  Facing these things can make all the hard moments feel like they were more than worth it, and you a more grounded, well rounded human.

So next time you are in a moment of space, of nothingness, embrace it! Face whatever comes up with a curiosity, but don’t attach to it.  Look at it subjectively, from a birds eye view.

When feelings come up, feel those feelings!!! Let the emotions take you where they need, don’t judge it and don’t hold it in.  It takes 90 seconds to feel your emotions but when suppressed our emotions stay within our bodies causing problems. This is where pain and disease develop within us. If you have a trusted person, talk about whatever comes up within you, acknowledgment of things previously suppressed can be healing in itself.

So don’t be afraid to be in the void, be courageous and embrace these moments because they have the potential to revolutionise your life.

What is a Wayfinder?

Wayfinders do not look for a well worn path or even a path less travelled but instead forge their very own.  A path that has no previous users.  It’s overgrown, tumultuous and scarey, there is no clear sense of direction or know where they are headed. Any and all obstacles along the way are completely hidden and they have no idea how hard or how big they will be.

BUT they walk the path anyway because they follow this inexplicable pull within themselves and they KNOW beyond a shadow of a doubt that that is the direction in which they must travel.

It makes no logical sense, others fear they will be lost, that they are crazy but they MUST carve out their own path so that others may follow along the path after,  in turn having a much easier and safer journey.  Because their journey down the path is the blueprint; they find a way to move to a place and explore terrain no one has ever traversed.  They found the way, so you do not have to and that is no easy feat.

Wayfinders are the soldiers unable to turn away from a challenge, who do what they believe in and feel is right for their own journey despite the tittering, the judgment and fear laden opinions of others.  They are courageous by very nature, they are determined and they fear the way of normalcy and mediocrity way more than possible failure and the unknown.

They are here to show you what is possible in this life time and without them you may struggle to see what is possible. They move with fire in their hearts and deep, unwavering courage in their bones.

That is how you may recognise a Wayfinder in your life or better yet, you may even realise you are one.

The Pause.

Action should not be the default

Pausing should be the default

In the pause you gain the motivation, the inspiration, the creativity and the clarity needed to move forward.

You will not move forward if you have not dedicated your life to the pause previously.

The pause is everything. When you feel overwhelmed, pause.

When you’re stressed, pause.

When you have a thousand things to do, pause.

When you’re anxious, pause.

Not pausing exacerbates ever present states of survival and not enoughness. By believing a pause will put you behind in chores, work and life makes damn sure that you will never be fully regulated and thus keeping you from your full potential in life. Pausing never puts you behind, though we have been taught that it does.  Pausing allows you to be right on time with everything in your life.

The pause allows you to demonstrate flow, intuition and presence in everyday. And when you demonstrate those things that’s when magic happens in your life.

The pause = power

Those who have not learnt it can never reach their fullest potential. For the potential can only be reached during the pause.
