This piece was finished at the start of this year, January 2026. This vessel is a “self portrait”, an abstract representation of self presented in form, shape and colour to portray what I could not express in words.

A celebration of colour, texture and creativity this is a mixed media, one of a kind handcrafted ceramic vase. It is designed to be a piece of art as much as it is a functional piece. Featuring real life hand pressed and dried foliage in the centre window, set in place by high grade resin.
This is a very distinctive abstract piece with hand painted underglaze and sgraffito detailing, made so that the vase can rock in place.

Sarah is a self taught ceramic artist who hand builds all her vessels. She creates all her fine art vessels from her subconscious brain. Not knowing exactly what story, experience or emotion she is producing from until the final work is complete.
